On Tuesday, two charter buses left the Tarleton State University campus headed to the state capital of Texas.

The buses were carrying numerous Tarleton students, numerous Tarleton staff and professors including TSU President Dottavio, numerous Stephenville City Council members including Mayor Doug Svien, several city staff members and other Stephenville residents.

Those in attendance were able to stroll the many hallways of the State Capitol and attend some very interesting meetings.  Some of the highlights included: a visit to Commissioner Sid Miller’s office and some were able to attend Texas Senate and Texas House sessions.  The Stephenville guests were able to meet and hear updates and other information from Texas House Representative Dr. J.D. Sheffield, as well as Texas Senator Pat Fallon and others.  A great time was had by all and the buses pulled back into the TSU parking lot behind the TSU Baseball Field shortly after 8 p.m.
