Harry A. Woodward, 73, finished his watch here on Earth and went home to rest with Jesus in Heaven on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Harry was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on December 5, 1945 to Albert Arch and Annie Lou (Atkins) Woodward.  He grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School in 1964.  On October 1, 1986 he married the love of his life Veronica Roberts and they lived around the DFW metroplex before settling in Ennis, Texas.

Harry retired from DFW Airport on January 1, 2009.  He was a member of Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis, the Marine Corp League of Ellis County and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 234 of Stephenville, Texas where he served as Commander for five years.  He was the National Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Disabled American Veterans from July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2016. 

He is survived by his wife of over thirty-two years, Veronica Woodward; daughters: Tami Cox and husband, Paul; Tonya LeCompte and husband, James and Stephanie New and husband, Doug; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles A. Woodward and wife, Ann; sister, Alice Jo Barton and husband, Jim as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Annie Woodward and twin brother, Larry A. Woodward.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis 210 N. Preston, Ennis, Texas.  Please note: Those choosing to send flowers*, please arrange to have them delivered directly to the Baylor Baptist Church Sanctuary.

Interment in DFW National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
