Three Stephenville High School Bass Club Teams are advancing to the state tournament after placing in the top 40 percent of the 201 teams competing in the West/Metroplex Regional Tournament held at Lake Lewisville.
Trevor and Clayton Easter found themselves in the top 10 percent with a 20th place finish after landing four fish totaling 9.72 pounds.
Kreed Averhoff and Jordan Kalsbeek finished in 58th place with two fish totaling 5.28 pound, and Hunter Mayo and Caden Cowan checked in at 65th place with 4.38 pounds from two fish caught.
The State Tournament is scheduled for May 11-12 at Cedar Creek Lake near Malakoff. The Stephenville Bass Club wishes to extend its thanks to Hard 8 BBQ and Beans and Franks for feeding the teams and to the Evening Lions Club for sponsoring the club and paying their entry fees.
