Ricky Wayne Cooke passed away on May 5, 2019, from a heart attack at his home in College Station, TX.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 6th at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with family friend Don Parker officiating.
Ricky was born on August 22nd, 1959 in Stephenville, TX to George Austin Cooke and Earlene Ledbetter Cooke/Hare who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Christi, son- Austin Parker Cooke, daughters-Afton Marqui Cooke, Whitney Jade Barron and husband Oscar, Tara Donn Cooke and step son-Tyler Bishop. A brother George David Cooke and one grandson Aiden Oscar Barron along with surviving Aunts and Uncles: Bettie Becvar, Gary and Jo Nell Richardson, Sandra Cooke, Ken and Kellie Koonsman; cousins, Ed and Melody Ledbetter.
Ricky graduated from Lingleville High School and was a dairyman in Erath County. He worked at Caporal Industries in Stephenville before moving to College Station, TX where he founded and owned Grass Gator Services a Lawn and Landscaping Services until his death. A loving father, husband, nephew and friend he will be mournfully missed but death does not separate us from love and faith.
