James Huel Lindsey, born November 20, 1935, at Chalk Mountain to Huel and Oda Lindsey passed away in Stephenville on August 11. James resided in the Hico area most of his life except for when he served in the United States Navy at Alameda Naval Station in Alameda, California. He spent most of his career working for Lockheed Martin in Ft Worth as a tool cutter grinder. James was a member of Duffau Baptist Church and the American Legion. 
James was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Judy Castaneda, two sisters Virginia Williams, and Evelyn Lindsey, and three brothers Lawrence Lindsey, Frank Lindsey, and Wayne Lindsey.
James is survived by his wife, Linda Lindsey, three children James Wayne Lindsey, Jonathan Huel Lindsey, Kendra Till, several grandchildren, three brothers Bob Lindsey, Roy Lindsey, Eldon Lindsey, and two sisters Wanda Richardson and Imogene Alexander. 
Visitation will be held Friday, August 16th from 6-8p.m. at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Harvest Hills Funeral home on Saturday, August 17 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Neil Wade and James McKinney officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Support our Troops America. Burial followed at Nancy Smith Cemetery.
