A Dublin man spent what would have been his two-year anniversary out of prison in the Erath County Jail on August 14. Travis B. Srader, 35, was arrested on August 13 by Dublin Police for aggravated assault with the deadly weapon and is being held on $250,000.

According to a release from Dublin PD, Dublin EMS and Dublin Police were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Elm Street on August 7 in reference to a report of a male stabbed in the abdomen. Due to the severity of the wound, the victim was taken by air ambulance to a trauma center in Fort Worth.

Dublin Police Chief Bobby Mendez said his department interviewed numerous witnesses that evening and in the following days. As a result of the investigation, a felony arrest warrant was issued and Srader was arrested on August 13 and booked into the Erath County Jail on the charge of aggravated assault, a first-degree felony.

But this was not the first or second person Srader had stabbed recently. According to Mendez, this is the third stabbing case that involves Srader. There is a case with the Stephenville Police Department in which Srader reportedly stabbed someone “in defense of a third party.” He is also involved in a stabbing case a few weeks ago in Dublin that is still being investigated, but “looks like self-defense,” Mendez said.
