OBITUARY
Nelda Myers Featherston, born February 20, 1939 in Mobeetie, Texas to parents Aubrey Clifford Myers and Addie Lucille (Belew) Myers, passed away in Hico, Texas August 24, 2019.
Nelda was a loving wife, mother and Nan. She had a love for her family and God. She grew up in the Church of Christ and from a small age was taught how to be a Christian. Nan and Pop had 61 years of a very loving relationship and they passed that on to their children and grandchildren. She loved collecting owls, doing crossword puzzles, making famous and most sought after pumpkin bread during the holidays and watching her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives.
Nelda worked at Kmart and Super S Foods for many years, which she loved. She was a social person and never met a stranger. She was going to talk to you whether she knew you or not, and after she did become a friend for life.
Nelda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Aubrey Myers.
Surviving Nelda are husband Donald Featherston, daughter, Connie Cox and husband Dale, son, Gary Featherston, and daughter Jan Davis and husband Brian. Nelda is also survived by grandchildren, Courtney Elleby and husband Stephen, Tony Black and wife Julie, Keith Davis and wife Brittany, Chris Featherston and wife Lily, Jared Davis and wife Hailee, and Casey Pankey and husband Shylo, and 10 great grandchildren, a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation 6-8pm, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services 10am, Wednesday August 28, 2019 at Hico Cemtery.
