BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery
ROSARY: 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: Family will visit with friends on Sunday night following the Rosary.
LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Comanche, Texas following the service, October 21.
Manuel Rivera, age 67, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, in Comanche, Texas.
He was born on April 11, 1952 to Juan and Julia (Vela) Rivera. Later in life, he married Maria (Castillo) in Crosby County, Texas. He worked as a plumber for Spalding Plumbing & Heating in Sweetwater, Texas for 17 years before moving to Comanche in 1998. He thoroughly loved his wife, son, grandchildren and family. He enjoyed watching movies and football. Manuel was a fanatic Cowboy fan.
He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Rivera of Comanche, Texas; grandson, Joseph K. Rivera of Comanche, Texas; two granddaughters, Gabriella A. Rivera and Reagan N. Rivera of Comanche, Texas; two sisters, Maria D. Banda and husband, Esiquio of Comanche, Texas and Guadalupe Rivera of Abilene, Texas; brother, Ramon Rivera and wife, Diana of Sweetwater, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and four sister-in-laws and 3 brother-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his son, Joey G. Rivera; parents, Juan and Julia Rivera; brother, Juan Rivera, Jr.; and sister, Diana Rivera.
