This month, the Dublin Public Library held its Inaugural Round Hay Bale Decorating Contest in Dublin. The fundraiser was a huge success drawing 54 entries. The Flash was unable to get a photo of all 54 entries, but we got a large sampling of the many creative entries. Unfortunately, a few of the hay bale entries had been damaged by the recent high winds.
Dublin Public Library Director, Adina Dunn, said the winners will be announced soon. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places as well as a People’s Choice Award. Dunn said the library plans to hold the contest again next year and she wanted to thank all of the individuals and businesses who participated and helped to make this first event a huge success.
