STEPHENVILLE – Based on strength of schedule, Tarleton has claimed the No. 4 seed in the Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship and will receive a bye to avoid Tuesday’s play-in games and advance straight to the three-day league tournament in Commerce.

The new league structure is set for the top 12 teams in the LSC to compete for the tournament title. All 18 teams are seeded based on rating percentage index (RPI) and the division winners earn the top three seeds while the fourth seed is the team with the highest remaining RPI, which was Tarleton. The top four seeds advance to the traditional eight-team tournament field at the No. 1 seed location, which is Texas A&M-Commerce, while the remaining 5-12 seeds will play one-game playoffs at the host institution of the high seed. The winner from each of the four play-in games advance to fill out the tournament field in Commerce.
