Pamela Elaine Overstreet Teague, 75, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2019. She passed away at her home surrounded by her devoted family. Pam was born to Vida Mae (Carden) and Charles William Overstreet on July 26, 1944, in McAllen, Texas. Pam was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jeanne Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Buddy Teague; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Mia Teague of Kerrville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Mike Harp of Linden, and Deanne and Lance Simmons of Atlanta; grandchildren: Michael (Laura) and Bailey Teague; Aaron (Sydney), Andrew, and Aubree Harp; and Parker and Alyssa Simmons; brothers: Mike Overstreet; Jim (Shawnee) Overstreet; and Bill (Julie) Overstreet; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews and cherished friends who will miss her dearly.
Pam grew up in McAllen and graduated from McAllen High School in 1962. She attended Pan American University and worked at Central Power & Light Company where she met Buddy. Pam was a wonderful homemaker and spent her entire life serving others. She never met a stranger and will be remembered for her loving spirit, sense of humor, generosity, and faith in the Lord. Pam loved her crafts, sewing, gardening, baking, and serving her community and church. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, where she especially loved working with the youth, as they held a special place in her heart. Pam considered her greatest accomplishment to be raising her three children but found her greatest joy in her grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church of Hico. A private family graveside service will take place on a later date. The Teague family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church of Hico.
