Texan Tennis rallies for thrilling 4-3 defeat of Arkansas Tech

SEARCY, Ark. – The Texans rallied to earn a thrilling one-point victory over Arkansas Tech in their final match of the weekend, 4-3.

Faustine Palatte and doubles partner Alicia Barbaroux earned the 6-3 win in the No. 2 position of doubles action, but Tarleton would ultimately go on to surrender the doubles point.

Arkansas Tech would go on to take a 2-0 lead in the match after claiming the doubles point and a default win in the No. 6 flight, but the top four Texans in the lineup would not be denied their victory.

Nathalie Ulander and Palatte were the first two Texans to succeed in their singles action to tie up the match at 2-2.

After Arkansas Tech won the No. 5 match to put themselves on the edge of victory, Texan senior Barbaroux dug deep to earn the thrilling 0-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Arkansas Tech to even up match at 3-3. Celia Vaudiau rallied back from a 2-6 loss in the opening set to secure the match for the Texans with an intense 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win.
