Hailey and Hoy Named to All-Conference Lists

FRISCO – Mackenzie Hailey and Alexa Hoy were named All-Lone Star Conference selections at the annual postseason awards banquet Wednesday night in Frisco.

Hailey earned her fourth straight all-conference honor and its’ her third consecutive season as a member of the league’s first team. Hailey ranks fifth in the Lone Star Conference in scoring (15.5) and fourth in field goal percentage (.486). The senior also averages 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

During her first-team all-conference season, Hailey moved into second-place in Tarleton’s all-time scoring list. The Burleson native also ranks in the top-5 in defensive rebounds, field goals made, double-doubles, blocks, offensive rebounds, free throws made, steals, and rebounds in the program record book.

After her first season at Tarleton, Hoy made the all-conference honorable mention list. Hoy, a transfer from UTEP, started in 23 contests before suffering an injury in one of the final games of the regular season. Prior to the injury, the junior averaged 9.7 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. She shot 37.3% from the field and tallied 31 steals through the regular season. 

Tarleton will open the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament on Thursday against Eastern New Mexico at the Comerica Center in Frisco at 8:30 p.m.
