Sorrow, Thankfulness and Joy exists for our family. Sorrow as God called our sweet wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Peggie Jean (Adkison) Roberson home on March 11, 2020.

Thankful that she walked home to meet Jesus as she lived – so sweet and with love and grace.

Joy as we celebrate the gift of her love and life of 83 years well lived. She was born in Corsicana, Texas to Lois F. (Mike) and Ruby Adkison on July 21, 1936. She graduated from Odessa High School and attended Tarleton State College where she met and married her husband, Charles “Tubba” Roberson in 1956. She worked for the Erath County Tax Office and she proudly served as secretary at Stephenville High School for 30 years. She loved our God and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Sorrow as we imagine our lives without her but Thankful that we were given the gift of calling her ours. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Tubba” Roberson, daughters and son-in-laws, Debra and Chuck Elliott of Stephenville, Sue and Wayne Decker of Round Rock and and Cheryl Evans and Mike Fergason also of Stephenville. She was “Granny” to grandchildren Chuck M. Elliott and wife Brandy, Makayla Elliott, Kelsey and Klay Strickland, Colton Decker, Kyle and Candace Evans, Sierra and Brooklynn Fergason as well as 6 great grandchildren, Camdyn, Charley and Chesleigh Elliott, Ruger Dunkin, Kellan Strickland and Jace Hodges. She was an only child but “sister” to many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. She was sweet Aunt Peggie to 23 nieces and nephews and a wonderful friend to many.

Graveside services for Peggie will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at West End Cemetery in Stephenville with Dr. Ken May officiating.
