SPECIAL TO THE FLASH

Turn the lights on, load the stock, and send for the cowboys! The Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo is on for September 25, 26 and 27 at Lone Star Arena in Stephenville.

The CCPRA is proud to officially announce this year’s PRCA Rodeo will be held with all the excitement and wild rodeo action everyone has come to expect from the Cowboy Capital. The rodeo committee has been in deep discussion for the past several months making plans for this year’s event, taking into consideration the ever-changing environment and challenging times due to the recent COVID-19 situation. We share a common goal of providing our community a western celebration that everyone can enjoy – a family friendly event that is full of patriotism, honest and true try from the competitors – both human and animal, as well as sheer explosive entertainment!

The Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo annually brings thousands of rodeo fans to the stands as well as hundreds of rodeo athletes from all corners of the USA and beyond. Stephenville is a 5x PRCA Medium Size Rodeo of the Year Nominee as well as an 8x Justin Boots Best Footing Award Winner in the WPRA Texas Circuit. New for 2020, The Cowboy Channel will be broadcasting the rodeo performances live on their TV channel and streaming app allowing over 42 million households to watch Stephenville’s PRCA Rodeo.

2020 has been unprecedented on so many levels. One of the greatest traits of a Cowboy is perseverance and having a never give up attitude despite the odds or difficulty at hand. This year, Stephenville’s PRCA Rodeo will be one of perseverance. The CCPRA greatly appreciates all the encouragement and support we have received up to this point and we will need even more community involvement to make this event successful. Several rodeo sponsorship opportunities are still available to be filled by any interested businesses, organizations or individuals who share our passion for the ultimate western sport and want the benefit of having their brand marketed to professional athletes and rodeo fans both in the stands and to millions of TV viewers.

The CCPRA committee will continue to monitor the changing health guidelines and will make adjustments as needed to ensure a safe and fun experience for all contestants, production crew and fans.

For more information on becoming a sponsor or volunteer, please contact CCPRA President James Andrae (Owner, Capital Hatters, 254-965-5678), any CCPRA Board Member, or email rodeostephenville@gmail.com.
