Ron was born on July 20, 1936 to the late Col. Carmon M. Anderson and Ruth White in Rising Star, Texas. A young family working mostly in the oil fields found a home in the U. S. military when World War 2 arrived. As a child Ron followed his parents to various bases until the end of the war. Shortly thereafter he and his family went to Europe, first in Occupied Germany and later in the United Kingdom. He returned to Texas to graduate from Odessa High School. He tried college, joined Sigma Chi fraternity, and then joined the U. S. Army only to return to Germany for his enlistment. The military trained him on a new technology, computers.

After the Army, he returned to Texas and attended Odessa College finally graduating from Texas Tech in 1961. With his bride, Carolyn Duncan of Odessa, he worked in several banks and savings and loans. His early career saw the installation of computing systems. While leading San Angelo’s First Savings and Loan, Carolyn passed away in 1974. Moving to Plano with his daughter, he led Collin County Savings and Loan for several years. He married Charlotte Moore of Conroe and was successful for several years.

A life changing event refocused his business onto the home health care industry. He succeeded in making the agencies more financially viable. He eventually developed a management information system that he used in several home health agencies. Sadly, Charlotte passed in 2001 leaving a family of 2 daughters and one son. Health issues further encumbered Ron and various business efforts.

What should not be overlooked is that when Ron first came to Plano, he met Dr. David Reagan and helped found the Lamb and Lion Ministries. This was a central pillar of his life from then on. Sitting on the Board of Directors and occupying several different roles were a major part of Ron’s life until he passed.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Carrie Rene and Jeff Stephens of Double Oak, Texas; Julie Jordan of Carrollton, Texas; and Jeff Jordan of San Francisco, California and one granddaughter and her husband Morgan and Philip Lawson of McKinney, Texas. His brother and wife, Thomas Anderson and Mary Gay, live in Gainesville, Florida. Ron’s nephews include Joshua Anderson of Essex Junction, Vermont, and Clayton Anderson of Raleigh, North Carolina.
