Valera Brown, 77, of Stephenville/Lingleville, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Glen Rose
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 9th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bert Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Valera was born on March 8, 1943 in Jacksboro, Texas to the late Archie and Eloise Amburn Jackson. She married Thomas Wayne Brown on June 4, 1960 in Jacksboro. Valera was a member of the Highland Missionary Baptist Church, and has lived in Erath County most of her life. She and Tommy operated a dairy in Lingleville for many years. Valera loved to paint, and take trips to Colorado.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy; son, Kenneth and his wife Denise Brown of Stephenville; grandson, Dale Brown; great granddaughter, Ivy Elizabeth Gilbert of Prosper; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bennie and Gary Henderson of Stephenville.
