Services for Russell Burl Abels, 55, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 14, 2020, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Russell was born in De Leon, TX on December 10, 1964 to L.G. Abels and Marilyn Carroll. He married Gayle Wesson on May 1, 2003, in Stephenville, TX.
Russell is survived by his wife, Gayle Abels; children, Kayla and Jacob Abels of Spicewood, Travis and Tara Abels of Dublin; mother, Marilyn (Mema) Carroll; siblings, Virginia Carroll, Tina Carroll, Tonya Carroll, Johnny Carroll, Lori Henson, Lonnie Abels, and Joyce Moncrief; multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, L.G. Abels on October 31, 2018.
