Stephenville is in control of its own destiny after dominating Lampasas at Gandy Gym Tuesday and setting up a take-care-of-business situation against Brownwood after the Lady Lions lost to Gatesville.

While the Honeybees were sweeping Lampasas out the door 25-7, 25-9, 25-13, Brownwood stumbled 14-25, 25-18, 26-28, 25-13, 15-7, but regardless of the outcome, Stephenville Coach Shay Douglas wants her team to stay focused.
“We just have to come out and play our style of volleyball,” Douglas said. “We have everybody healthy and ready to play.”

Friday looked like it would be a title-tilt with Brownwood and Stephenville entering Tuesday’s games with matching 5-1 District 5-4 record. The Lady Lions had handed Stephenville its only loss, and Friday’s game had a tint of revenge.
Now the match is about Stephenville being in first place and looking to secure the league title without worrying about a possible seeding game
Friday’s home match against Brownwood is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start and is the final regular match of the season for the Honeybees.
