He coached the first South Carolina team to win a Region III Championship while winning multiple state championships in both youth and High School. In Georgia, Rhodes helped carry on a winning tradition at Concorde by being part of a couple of National Championship teams, Region Championship teams, and multiple state championship teams.
Rhodes is currently residing in Stephenville with his wife of 29 years, Valarie, and his two children. Rhode’s son, Michael, is attending Tarleton University enrolled in their engineering program and the Corp of Cadets and his daughter, Savannah, a senior student-athlete at Stephenville High School.
Stephenville ISD Athletic Director Jerod is looking forward to taking in some Yellowjacket soccer action this season.
“We are thrilled to have Coach Rhodes lead our Jacket soccer program moving forward. He has a great soccer mind and is ready to hit the ground running with our Jackets. He has built many programs into very competitive teams, and we are excited to have his knowledge and passion for soccer here in SISD,” Womack said.
