Jeremy Edward DeForest, 34, of Morgan Mill, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 in Pecos, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Jeremy was born on January 29, 1986 in Neosho, Missouri to James and Denise Smith DeForest. He was a graduate of Stephenville High School and of Universal Technical Institute Houston. He married Kelli Connelly on October 26, 2013 in Glen Rose and together they had two children. He has resided in Erath County most of his life and attended the Cowboy Church of Erath County. He worked as a Gas Compression Mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Kelli DeForest of Morgan Mill; his kids he adored, Evely and Hudson DeForest of Morgan Mill; parents, James and Denise DeForest of Morgan Mill; brother, Clifford DeForest and wife, Elizabeth of Comanche; sister, Brandi Todd, of Morgan Mill; aunts and uncles, Berna Smith, Linda Glavin, Bub & Annie Glavin, Alan & Marge DeForest, David & Elaine Janiga, and Mark DeForest; cousins, Patrick DeForest, Kate Buckland, Jamie Baker, Staci Johnston, Oompah Glavin, Graham Glavin, Devon Carpenter, Nick & Hailey Bradshaw, Kandis Glavin, Donnie Webster, Scott & Maria Webster, Matt & Xan Janiga, Tom & Laritza Janiga, Heather & Joshua Messinger; nephew, Lincoln Todd; and niece, Olivia Todd both of Morgan Mill.

He was united in heaven with Clifford Smith, and Vern & Irene DeForest.

  1. To Katie, Evelyn and Hudson DeForest, Jeremy was the best husband and dad you could ever have. He loved you so much! To Jim and Denise, he loved you both and appreciated everything you did for him. You did a fine job raising Jeremy with a belief in the Lord and strong bonds to family. He learned from you both how to care for others, even strangers. Anyone who met him, never forgot his kindness and compassion. To Brandi and Cliff, you had the best brother in the world and I know he showed you how he felt about you both each and every time you were together. I love all of you as family and we will get through this together.
