STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton Women’s Golf head coach Isabel Jimenez has announced the signing of two Texas high school golf standouts to her Fall 2021 roster.

Bridgett Joeris of Boerne-Champion high school and Angela Inocian of Allen high school signed their National Letters of Intent to join Jimenez and the Texan golf team.

“Both of these young ladies are going to bring a lot of success to our team next Fall 2021,” said Jimenez. “They both come from successful high school golf programs and I have no doubt they will be able to step up and compete right away in Division I and in the WAC. They are very familiar with Tarleton and the area. They are not only great golfers but also great students, which are the main two qualities I was looking for when I signed them. I have no doubt they will fit into our program perfectly.

“I am very excited for the Fall 2021, we are going to have a bigger roster, consisting of four returners and three freshman,” Jimenez continued. “All these girls are very talented both on and off the course, and I can’t wait to have them all here in the Fall to keep helping them develop their golf game while making their college experience better in any way I can.”

Joeris is set to graduate in 2021 from Boerne-Champion High School where she lettered all four years in varsity golf, with two of the years spent as the team co-captain for head coach Jason Sweatman. Joeris was named all-district and ranked 11th in the district as a junior in 2020. She also placed seventh in the 5A State Preview in the fall of her senior season.

Joeris competed in the Texas Junior Golf Tour, placing in the top 10 in four of the seven tournaments in 2020 with an average score of 78.5. She also competed in the American Junior Golf Association Evian International Championship, shooting a 78-75 for a low total tournament round of 153. Joeris’ personal low round is a 69 (-3), which she recorded as a sophomore at the Oakmont Country Club during the high school district preview. Her first career hole-in-one came in September 2019 from 123 yards out at the Bridlewood Golf Course during a Texas Junior Golf Tour event.

The Boerne, Texas native excelled academically as well, as she carried a 3.6 unweighted GPA all four years of high school and was a HSMU Alpha Theta Member her junior year. Joeris plans on majoring in Finance at Tarleton.

Inocian is set to graduate in 2021 from Allen High School where she lettered all four years on varsity for head coach David May. Inocian was Allen’s Varsity Golf Newcomer of the Year and is also ranked in the top 35 percent of her class.

Inocian has won several tournaments in her high school career, including the Cleburne Invitational and Mansfield Shootout, both in 2020 as a junior. She shot a 75 at the AJGA Qualifier and also qualified for the 2020 LPGA Tour Exemption Girls Series Championship with her performance at the Callaway Golf Texas Junior Open. Inocian qualified for the Texas Girls’ Invitational All-American Tour by winning the 2020 SHSU PGA Golf Management Bridlewood Junior Open and the 2020 Ratliff Group December Showcase.
