Rona was born November 22, 1966 in Fort Worth, TX to Ronnie and Diane Cox. She spent her childhood years in Henderson, TX before moving to Stephenville in 1979 where she graduated from Stephenville High School in 1985. She was swept off her feet with a dozen roses by the love of her life, Toby, in February 1986. After an intense courtship Toby was declared the winner when he married Rona on May 15, 1987 in Burnet, Texas. Rona ran the office of Jay Mills Contracting, Inc. along with her mother-in-law Debbie and helped grow the business to where it is today.

Rona loved travelling to the Caribbean with Toby and friends and was always ready to put her toes in the sand any time the opportunity was presented. On many occasions the opportunity was not exactly presented to Rona. She would tell Toby she needed some Mexico time so she had booked them a trip. If the idea of a trip was met with anything short of enthusiasm, she would jokingly tell Toby she was going with or without him. So, they would go.

More than anything, Rona loved to cook and spend time with those she loved. She enjoyed cooking for her large, extended family on holidays, birthdays, and especially Sunday afternoon lunch after church. Rona’s firecracker personality and love for her family will be greatly missed.

Rona is survived by, husband, Toby; children, Jared and wife Holly Mills, Jace and wife JP Mills, Jalyn and husband Will Snodgress; father, Ronnie Cox; grandchildren, Callen Mills, Jaysa Mills, Laney Mills, Ellie Mills, Stella Snodgress, Gunner Mills, and Adeline Snodgress; and her sister, Cindy Davidson.

Rona was preceded in death by her mother Diane, sister Kim, mother-in-law Debbie, and brother-in-law Nathion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to:  Fosters Home for Children, Choices, or Restoration Advocates.
