STEPHENVILLE – The Texans battled with the trailblazers for most of today’s game but they couldn’t capitalize with runners on.

A bit of a slug fest to begin the game as each of the leadoff batters for each team had a solo blast. The Trailblazers and Texans went run for run in the first two innings with Dixie State breaking the streak in the third and leaving the Texans scoreless.

Wade Raburn was 4-for-5 today with two RBI while five other Texan batters each recorded two hits. London Green, Jordan Parker, and Kemuel Thomas-Rivera each hit the long ball today as they each had a home run with Green leading off the game with a solo shot.

Blake Burns who was 1-for-3 with a walk recorded the only triple of the day for the Texans with Green and Thomas-Rivera each hitting doubles.

The Texans had a big 6th inning plating four runs but timely home runs from Dixie State helped them maintain the lead. Tarleton left the bases loaded twice today in the 5th and 8th innings.

Both teams went scoreless after the 6th inning for the remainder of the game. The Texans and Trailblazers each had 15 hits today.

Five Texans saw the mound tonight with Bryce Hackett getting the start and three pitchers coming in for relief. Landon Cody shut it down on the mound tonight pitching three scoreless innings allowing only two hits and striking out four.

The Texans are back home Tuesday for a matchup against Big XII program TCU. First pitch for Tuesday’s game is slated for 3 p.m.
