Nell Marie Keller, born January 4, 1938 in Crosbyton, Texas to parents Horace and Lois (Cure) Marlar, passed away in Hico, Texas on April 12, 2021 at age 83. Nell was a devout Christian, a wonderful cook, and she loved her plants and working in the yard. Above all, Nell was a beloved mother, spouse, grandmother, and a trusted friend. She was always available to help those she loved as she served the Lord. Nell was known by many names, including Nanny K, Grandma, Mom, and Lucy (as in Lucille Ball).
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ray Keller.
Surviving Nell are her children Mike Odom and wife Quita, Gordon Odom, Janet Cessac and husband Kurt. Also surviving are her grandchildren Rusty Odom and wife Keisha, Mica Odom, Aaron Cessac and wife Julia, Neely Cox and husband Keith, Chance Odem and Riley Odom; great-grandchildren Makenna, Wesley, Elliot, Zoe, Jack, Vivian, Eleanor, and Jasmine.
Also surviving Nell are her sisters, Robbie Edward and husband Arvil, Doris Sherling, Barbara Taegal, and Brenda Crowe, as well as countless cousins.
Service Information
Visitation will be held from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Fairy Cemetery with Pastor Dace Clifton officiating.
