EL PASO – Tarleton suffered a 4-3 loss to UTEP Thursday afternoon. The Texans will now turn their attention to back-to-back WAC matches against Dixie State and Seattle University in Las Cruces, New Mexico to close out the season.

“It was an exciting match,” said head coach Elianne Miron. “Mihaela (Codreanu), Martha (Makantasi) and Elsa (Boisson) were extremely tough in the big moments. It came down to the wire and we fought hard on every court, but we’ll learn from it and come back stronger.”

No Tarleton player has won more than 15 singles matches in a season since Martinez in 2013 won 17 matches on her way to winning the LSC Player of the Year award.
