Grady Ray Wolfe, born April 28, 1962 in Kermit, Texas to parents Lelon and Bonnie Wolfe, passed away May 7, 2021 in Hico, Texas.

Grady and his family moved to Hico in 1976. He was one of four brothers, and graduated from Hico High School in 1981. On June 10, 1991 Grady married his wife Sheri.

For the past 14 years, Grady worked for Faulk at Hico ISD. Grady loved country music by artists such as Guy Clark, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr. His last big trip was to see Hank Williams Jr. with his favorite nephew, Waylon Wolfe Jr. On the wall of Grady’s living room, hangs artwork that sums up Grady’s approach to life:
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, “Wow what a ride!”

Grady is preceded in death by his father Lelon Wolfe, brother James Wolfe, and Waylon Henry Wolfe.

Surviving Grady are his wife, Sheri Wolfe, and three children: Tiffany Lee Lakely of Virginia, Michael Scott Wolfe of Virginia, and Shyanne Haylee Wolfe of Hico. A grandson, Leland Lakely of Virginia, and Grady’s mother, Bonnie Wolfe of Hico, Texas, also survive.

Grady is also survived by his brother, Joe Lynn Wolfe of Stephenville, Texas, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services 11a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Clairette Cemetery, with Pastor Chris Irvin officiating.

In Lieu of Flowers: Family request donations be made in memory of Grady to the American Kidney Association at kidney.org
