Services for Gladis Ann Swanner Cross Parr, 93, a nurse, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael J. Orsini officiating. Burial will follow at Exray Cemetery.
Gladis was born in Erath County, Texas, on September 13, 1927, to Daniel P. Swanner, Jr., and Bessie G. (Venable) Swanner. She married Cecil Cross in 1946, and he preceded her in death. She married Leland Parr in 1968, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Denver Cross and wife, Lana, of Stephenville, Texas, and Danny Cross of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany Sparks, Rigdon Bogard, Justin Cross, and Shelley Cross; great-grandchildren, Samantha Rogers, Seth Rumbo, and Rachel Rumbo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Cross and Leland Parr, daughter, Florence Bogard, brothers, Robert Swanner and Richard Swanner, and her sister, Vivian Witt.
