Billy Howard Barrow born June 30, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas to parents G.W. and Wilma (Upchurch) Barrow, passed away June 15, 2021 in Cleburne, Texas at age 71. Billy was known as “Pawpaw”, “Grandpa”, “Uncle Biz” and “Billy Howard”. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially his grandkids. Billy also enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, building muscle cars, studying the Bible and listening to or watching Bible related videos.

Billy received an Associates of Applied Science Degree from Hill College and is listed in the Who’s Who in American Vocational and Technical Schools. He was an experienced meat cutter, public school transportation director, and was a high school vocational automotive technology teacher until his retirement in 1977, due to blindness. Billy also served as a vocational youth minister and a vocational pastor for a total of 40 years.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Emmie Prather.
Surviving Billy are his wife Peggy Barrow whom he married July 5, 1968; sons Darin Barrow and wife Jennifer, Jason Barrow and wife Jeannie, and daughter Rhonda Gabel. He is also survived by his grandchildren Seth Barrow and wife Hailey, Jessica Barrow, Stephanie Gabel and husband Rick Rubeck, Brenna Gabel, Aaron Barrow, and Austin Barrow. Also surviving Billy are great granddaughters Paisley Gabel and Olivia Barrow, and his one “Stupid Dog”, as well as by his sisters Joyce Taylor and husband J.R., Donnie Johnston and husband Tommy, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles and friends.

Visitation 1-2 pm, Saturday June 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Hico Texas with services following at 2:00pm, with Anthony Check officiating. Burial to follow at Duffau Cemetery.
