Mattie Sue Yarbrough, 85, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2021, in Hurst, Texas. She was born on September 27, 1935, in Stephenville, Texas to her parents William Otis Vandever and Chlona Lee (Armstrong). Sue graduated from high school and began working in retail services such as Dillard’s, Stein Mart, Service Merchandise and more. She married her husband, Delmar R. Yarbrough, on July 16, 1955, and together they had five children: Pam, Bobby, Betty, Randy, and Kim. Sue was a dedicated and loving mother and friend. She loved cats and her doggie, Ellie Mae. Sue was affiliated with Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas. She had a quiet generous spirit who enjoyed time with family most of all. We will miss her so much but will live with the anticipation of our reunion with her again one day.
She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Chlona Vandever, her husband Delmar R. Yarbrough on August 14, 2011, her daughter Pam Agnew, and her twins Bobby and Betty Yarbrough.
Sue is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Randy and Penny Yarbrough of Hurst, Texas, her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Ronny Rackley of Saginaw, Texas, her grandchildren Ryan Rackley, Travis Rackley, Robert Michael Sears, and Mitchell Sears, her brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Sherry Vandever, her brother Bill Vandever, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ancel and Gaye Yarbrough, her beloved companion Ellie Mae and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
