Betty Lou Williams, age 70, passed away August 14, 2021, after a 17-year battle with cancer. She was wife to the late Gerald Williams. Much loved mother of Kevin, Jason (Christine) and the late Lisa Williams. Cherished “Grandma Willy” of Justin and Brian. Dear sister to the late Pep (Faye) Ramsey, the late Bill (Jenny) Ramsey, the late Linda (Randy) Hilton, the late Jerry (Jimmie) Ramsey, and Debbie (Jim) Gill. Beloved aunt to 18 nieces and nephews, and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.
She enjoyed cooking, tending to her flowers, and loving on her dog, Missy. Whether she was laughing while the kids acted out skits, scheming during family game night, chatting with her sisters until the morning, or gathering for an impromptu backyard music jam, you could always find her smiling that the people she loved most were together again.
Betty was a mother first and foremost. She loved her children and embraced every moment with them. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held in Hico at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home, 118 Second Street on Sunday August 22 from noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. There will be a graveside committal at Mitchell Cemetery, County Rd 2142 in Iredell at 3:00 p.m
