Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, August 30th at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Newburg Cemetery near Comanche.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM (one hour prior to services) at Cowboy Church.  Services are under direction by Stephenville Funeral Home.

Kent was born on July 21, 1960, in Comanche, Texas to Sue Levisay and the late Charles Ray Levisay.  He married Diana Taylor January 25, 1988 in San Angelo, Texas.  He completed an Associate’s Degree in Welding at Texas State Technical College.  He worked at FMC for 40 years and volunteered as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Hamilton County and Erath County for almost 30 years.

Kent will be best remembered as a loving father and husband as well as for his acts of kindness, selflessness, and goofy sense of humor that always brought fun to the adventure.  If a person showed up at his front door asking a favor, he would stop what he was doing and give assistance. Kent embodied the true sense of “Peace Officer”.  Arguments were not his style. Wisdom was imparted quietly in his actions as he always made himself available to those that needed him to fix a problem. He instilled kindness in all he met.

He spent many hours at his ranch in Newburg, Texas.  He loved his cattle, deer hunting and teaching his sons about ranch life.  He was in his element when he was teaching; whether it was how to fix an engine, flat tire, mend a fence or field dress a deer.   Weekends often found him riding 4 wheelers and working on chores to keep his ranch in good working condition.

Kent is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diana Levisay, 3 sons: Whitt Levisay of Dallas, Texas, Taylor Levisay of Bryan, Texas, and Logan Levisay of Stephenville, Texas.  He is also survived by his mother, Sue Levisay; brother, Glen Levisay and wife, Laura and children, Laura Levisay, Leah Levisay and Chad Levisay.  He is also survived by his mother- in-law, Sue Neal, and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loyal friends.

Pallbearers: Justin Barnes, Billy Ed Blue, John Evridge, Matt Gaines, Donnie Riewe, and Steve Watkins
