Clarke was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 30, 1957, to Ruth Betty (Buffington) and Christopher Thomas Baker, Sr. He married Kellie Holdridge on April 24, 1993, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran (Desert Storm and Desert Shield.)
Survivors include his wife, Kellie Baker of De Leon, Texas; children, Mike Davidson of Seattle, Washington, Jon Davidson and wife, Jessica, of Seattle, Washington, Daria Baker of De Leon, Texas, and Demitra Baker of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his brother, Dr. Christopher Baker, Jr., and wife, Jamie, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and his sister, Ruth Brinly and husband, Rick, of Paducah, Kentucky.
