Buford Louis Sullivent, 74, of Bluff Dale, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Shackleford officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Buford was born on January 11, 1947 in Lubbock to the late John Herman and Margurite McCracken Sullivent. He married Johnnie Stocks on June 1, 1968 at the First Baptist Church in Stephenville, together they raised four children. Buford served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and worked for 31 years as a mechanic at St. Gobain in Stephenville. He was a member of the Cedar Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Johnnie Sullivent of Bluff Dale; daughters, Mary Angelicque Schmidt and husband Greg of Stockdale, and Amy Diane Sullivent of Bluff Dale; sons, Buford Louis Sullivent “J.R.” of Bluff Dale, and Adam Virgil Lee Sullivent of Bluff Dale; grandchildren, Barson Schmidt, Nayli Schmidt, Hunter Lee Sullivent, Haiden Sullivent, Loden Sullivent, Amelia Mae Sullivent, and Brennan Sullivent; brother, Keith Sullivent; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margurite Sullivent; granddaughter, Joscellyn Sullivent; and daughter-in-law, Miranda Sullivent.
