Stephenville wins Bi-District match over Vernon

The Stephenville HS Honeybee volleyball team took the Bi-District Championships in grand fashion Monday night in Graham. The Bees (30-10, 8-0) are the first place team in District 6, 4A and faced the Vernon Lady Lions (6-20, 4-5), who were fourth in District 5, 4A. 

The Bees dominated the Lady Lions in three quick sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-8) and Senior Landri Withers (#5) got her 1,000th career kill in this match. Stephenville HS continues to dominate this season and Maxpreps.com ranks the Honeybees in third place in 4A state behind Hereford (43-2) and Decatur (30-8), who both won their Bi-District matches as well.

The Bees will face the winner of Young Women’s Leadership Academy (19-7, 9-3) and Spingtown (24-15, 9-3), who play Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. 

Also from District 6, 4A, Brownwood won their Bi-District match and will face Argyle on Thursday, Nov. 4. Glen Rose won their match over Burkburnett and Gatesville faces Graham Tuesday, Nov. 2 in their Bi-District match.
