Mary Hellen Smith, born May 3, 1934 to parents Rufus and Jessie (Word) Phillips, passed away November 4, 2021. Mary loved her church, fishing, football, and family.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents; her brothers Rufus Jr., John, Mack, and Frank; her daughter Susie Haynes; and her grandson Leon Denver Poe.
Surviving Mary Hellen are her children Nellie McCann and husband Joe, Cathy Faubion, Randy Smith, Rickey Smith; grandchildren Jason McCann and wife Sarah, Justin McCann and fiancé Lindsey; great grandchildren Sharon Poe and Lisa Poe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visitation 6-8 pm Friday, November 5, 2021 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside Services 2pm, Saturday November 6, 2021 at Hico Cemetery with Rev. Dace Clifton officiating.
