Billy Don Glass, 78, died on January 2, 2022, in Stephenville, Texas, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Memorial services for Billy Don will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January, 6, 2022 at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Billy Don was born on February 28, 1943 in Mansfield, Texas to Monroe Glass and Audrey Rowdon Glass. He leaves behind his wife Anita “Nikki” Glass; his daughter Kerri Everett and husband Kyle; son Dusty Glass and wife Misti; grandchildren Blaine Glass, Brady Glass, and Kacie Everett; great grandson Jett Glass, and brother Jimmy Dale Griffith. He was proceeded in death by his parents and granddaughter Kylie Everett.

Billy Don attended Mansfield High School and went on to serve his county in the US Marine Corps, where he spent time in Guam, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Okinawa.

After the Marines, Billy Don returned to Mansfield and started a career in rodeo as a bull rider and bull fighter/rodeo clown. After retiring from rodeo, he began a career in cattle ranching, managing numerous ranches across Texas until he settled in Cranfills Gap, Texas at Meridian Creek Ranch, where he and his wife Nikki raised their children and semi-retired after over 30 years of service in 2009.

Billy Don was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, and guiding others in the sport.

Billy Don served as deacon at Fairy Baptist Church for numerous years and was an active member of Cowboy Church of Erath County after moving to Stephenville.
