Obituary

Jim Culpepper was called home on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He was born on August 21, 1947 to Floyd Culpepper and Rebecca (Masters) in Comanche, Texas. On July 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Kathleen (Kathy) Anthony in Comanche, Texas.

Jim worked at TDCJ as a correction officer for 34 years, ending his career as a Lieutenant at TR Havins unit in Brownwood, Texas. He was a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas.

Jim is survived by his wife, Elizaebeth Kathleen (Kathy) Culpepper; three sons, Anthony Neil Culpepper (Neil) and wife, Tammy, of Huckabay, Marshall Todd Culpepper (Todd) of Fredericksburg, and Randal Scott Culpepper (Scott) of Fredericksburg; niece, Melissa Beth Culpepper Dodd, raised as one of his own and husband, Jeff, of Newton, Kansas; grandchildren, Grace, AJ, Kelcie and husband, Dalton Key, Colton, Haley, Lacey, Raegan, Natalie, Madison, and Kiley; and many other loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Rebecca Culpepper; his in-laws, Boyd and Stella Anthony; and his brothers, Jerry and John Culpepper.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Huckabay Community Center.
