A memorial service and celebration of life honoring Edwin Dock Green of Sipe Springs, Texas will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sipe Springs Fire Department station with Terry Jackson officiating.

Dock was born in Tahoka, Texas on September 7, 1959, as the oldest of three boys to M L Green and Wanda Ruth Dewbre Green.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University in 1987 in Business and Agriculture, Dock successfully operated and managed numerous business ventures though the years. A beginning in the oil field as a welder and truck driver was the spark that lit his entrepreneurial side. This opportunity then laid the groundwork for owning and managing three of his own transport and freight businesses over the years. Dock’s knowledge of mechanics and “just a little bit” about almost everything was amazing, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. People were Dock’s passion, and he was always to be found where everyone were gathered. A good story was never hard for him to pass up, and he was a masterful teller of stories!

His involvement in the community was overwhelming. He was an endowed member of the Hope Masonic Lodge 481 of Comanche, Texas and the Armstrong Lodge 445 of DeLeon, Texas. A Lieutenant with the Sipe Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and the Chaplain of the 2nd Frontier District Camp #1904 Sons of Confederate Veterans of DeLeon, His faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus sustained him, and he was a member several churches in the area through the years, including the South Leon Baptist Church and the Comanche County Cowboy Church.

Survivors include one daughter Melinda Green Kidd and husband Latham, two brothers Malcom Green and wife Debra, Cory Green and wife Donna, two step-sons Josh Constancio and wife Sandy, Adam Constancio and wife Emily, and one step-daughter Yolanda McNutt and husband Stephen, eight grandchildren, Makayla Luckie, Stetson Kidd, Henleigh Kidd, Paige Bubert, Kayden Constancio, Mia Constancio, Kennedy Constancio, and Lincoln Constancio. Eight nieces and nephews, Jessica Green, Shelby Stires and husband Michael, Hayden Green, Dathan Green, Seth Green, Courtney Green, Marcus Green and wife Angie, and Cole Green. And a host of cousins, extended family and close friends.

Dock was preceded in death by Father, M L Green, Mother, Ruth Green, and wife Charlotte Constancio Green.

Memorials may be made to Sipe Springs Fire Department, 4417 Hwy 1477, Comanche, TX 76442 or the charity of your choice in his honor.

He will be greatly missed. Our world is a little darker, but the radiance of Heaven was brightened as it welcomed another son home.
