(June 20, 1931 – March 10, 2022) U.S. Veteran

Elmer Elton Ables, 90, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2022 in Leander, TX. He was born on June 20, 1931 in Dublin, TX to his parents Elmer Gant Ables and Myrtie Jane (Smith) Ables. Elmer married Judy Ansley and spent 40 years together. He was a member of the Navy and fought in the Korean War. Elmer was a member of the Greens Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Bechtol Construction and retired from Human Resources Management. 

He is survived by his wife Judy Ansley of Leander, TX, his daughters Kathryn Sharp and Traci Hamrick of Eastland, Texas, his granddaughter and her spouse Paige and Kevin Hood of Eastland, TX, his granddaughter Tish Romo of Abilene, TX, his great-granddaughters Macie and Paisley, his stepchildren Kevin Ansley and Lori Foster, and numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. 

Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Upper Greens Creek Cemetery at 11 a.m.
