Obituary
Judge Bobby Arthur, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in Comanche, Texas.
Judge Arthur was born on April 30, 1940, to Euell and Alda (Cartwright) Arthur. On June 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Gore. He entered the service in the United States Air Force in 1961 as a member of the Strategic Air Command on B47s and later B52 bombers as a crew chief. In 1967, he left the service to return to Comanche and help run the family business, Arthur Chevrolet & Oldsmobile. After managing and then owning the dealership in Comanche for 55 years, he decided to sell the business and pursue other alternatives. That change ultimately led him to run for County Judge. He served as our County Judge for 20 years and then retired in December of 2018. Judge Arthur was a member of Comanche First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara Sue Gore Arthur; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Cristinia Arthur; daughter and son-in-law, Meisha and Robert Van Zant; and seven grandchildren.

Service Details
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 18, in the White Point Cemetery in Comanche County.
