The City of Stephenville and the Stephenville Parks and Recreation Department are hosting their annual Fourth of July event on Thursday, July 4. Starting with the parade at 9 a.m., there will be a full day of fun for the whole family.

The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. from the Stephenville City Park and travel up Graham Street and turn left onto Washington Street at the square, ending at Harbin Street. There are so many floats and other parade participants registered, so come prepared with a chair or blanket to sit.

There are dozens of food vendors signed up to be in the Stephenville City Park beginning at 12 noon, so just come on out for lunch before heading over to check out the always exciting lawnmower races. A bunch of bounce houses, along with a rock climbing area and a dunk tank will be open from 3 until 8 p.m.

Then live music fans will want to get over to the Birdsong Amphitheater to get a good spot before Shawn Camp kicks off a full night of live music at 6 p.m. The night will close out with Larry Joe Taylor from 8:30 until 9:30 p.m.

The main event – the fireworks show – blasts off at 9:30 p.m. So make sure to be in a good spot before then so as not to miss out.
