Kyla Anne Cooper, 34, of Carlton, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Austin, Texas.
A memorial service for Kyla will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Carlton First Baptist Church, with Jason Johnson officiating. Visitation for Kyla will be on Friday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico, TX.
Kyla was born on February 6, 1991, in Stephenville to Darla D’Shay Cooper Johnson. Kyla was a ‘free spirit’ a ’60’s loving girl. She loved spending time with her family, especially her boys. Kyla deeply loved her family. Kyla had many many friends to spend time with. Kyla’s passion in life was going camping and fishing, and she loved animals. Her favorite 60’s music group, was the Beatles. Kyla enjoyed her work as a waitress, loved serving people. Kyla lived previously in San Angelo, Hamilton, and was currently living in Carlton.
Kyla is survived by her mother and father, Darla and Jason Johnson; sisters, Katy Rodriguez and Zoey Qualls; grandparents, Wesley and Brenda Clark and David Cooper; sons, Izaiah, Levi, and Japeth; cousin, Orry Stroud; aunts, Dina Stroud and Brandi Toeppich.
Kyla was preceded in death by a brother, Chad Srader.
