Larry D. Simpson, a long-time resident of Dublin, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 9, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on May 25, 1954, in Anderson County, Texas, to Dixie Fay and Bill Gene Simpson, Larry was known for his love of jokes, family, and especially his grandchildren. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who enjoyed working on the dairy with his uncles and cousins. Larry had a passion for westerns, with his all-time favorite being ‘Shootist’, and he cherished his beloved dogs, Spot, Ginger, Autumn, and Shania.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Dixie and Bill Simpson, his son, Christopher John Stark, and his brother, Mike Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Stark Simpson, his children, Bert Humphries and wife Janice, his sister, Debbie Morton, his grandchildren, Coy Moreno, Lane Caldwell, Esperanza Moreno, Naomi Moreno, Emmett Moreno, and Bonnie Humphries, and his great-grandchildren, Atticus Moreno and Kason Rogers Stark. He is also survived by his uncle, Buster Simpson, his life-long friend, Alan Nash, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended relatives.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
