(November 4, 1943 — September 18, 2025)
Weldon Holley of Stephenville, Texas passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025.
Weldon was welcomed into this world by his parents James and Thelma Holley on November 4, 1943, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Upon graduating from Phillips High School, Weldon began his lifelong passion for being a cowboy. He worked on various ranches and feedlots during his career and although he loved every aspect of being a cowboy and rancher, his deepest passion and talent was revealed through training and riding cutting horses.
Weldon possessed a wise and savvy business mind that allowed him to build a multi-generational legacy that he will always be deeply appreciated for. He stepped away from his full-time cowboy career in 1981 when he purchased Culligan Water in Pampa, Texas. He remained owner and operator of his ranch in Stephenville, Texas and simultaneously built and ran both businesses. He returned to the ranch in 2020 and lived out his last season of life fulfilling the truest calling of his heart.
Weldon is survived by his children, Barbara Crispin of Stephenville, Texas and son James and his wife, Jessica Holley of Amarillo, Texas. His sister, Karon Connelly, niece Dee Gates and nephews Cash Connelly, Shane Holley, Shawn Holley, Eli Holley, his grandchildren Candice and her husband, Lance Hallman, Joseph and his wife Chasity Gross, Ashley and her husband Austin Stone, Dak and his wife, Kat Patton and Tyler Holley along with 17 great-grandchildren all of whom he loved deeply.
