STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton State Volleyball collected its fair share of postseason awards on Wednesday, with four Texans earning major awards and named All-WAC.

Major superlative awards went to two Texans, as Morgan Carter was named the WAC Libero of the Year and Alyssa Dinh was named the WAC Freshman of the Year. Carter was among the eight conference-wide to earn a spot on the All-WAC First Team, while Emma Burke and Madison Frank both were placed on the All-WAC Second Team. Dinh also made the All-WAC Freshman Team.

Carter, a senior libero from Plano, Texas, immediately became the anchor of Tarleton State’s back row in her first and only season in Stephenville. In the regular season, she led the Texans with 372 digs and averaged 3.96 digs per set — ranking third in the WAC in total digs. Carter also posted 22 double-digit dig matches out of the 24 played this season, including 11 during conference play, and recorded a season-high 25 digs against UT Arlington. Her one season in Stephenville proved to be one of the most impactful defensive campaigns in Tarleton State’s Division I era.

Dinh, a redshirt freshman middle blocker from Houston, missed the first six matches of the season and took over upon her return, quickly becoming one of the most impactful front-row players in the conference. She closed the regular season with 83 kills on a .326 hitting percentage, averaging 1.54 kills per set and emerging as one of the WAC’s most efficient attackers. Defensively, Dinh solidified the Texans’ interior presence with 61 total blocks— including 14 solo stops — while averaging 1.13 blocks per set to rank among the league’s top middle blockers. Dinh posted a season-high 11 kills against Sam Houston. Her resurgence after injury, made her one of the conference’s biggest breakout stories.

Burke, a senior middle blocker from Godley, Texas, earned Second Team All-WAC honors after delivering one of the most consistent and efficient seasons at the net for Tarleton State. A returning starter and a stabilizing presence in the front row, Burke closed the regular season with 136 kills on .284 hitting percentage, while averaging 1.45 kills per set, providing steady offensive production throughout conference play. Defensively, Burke remained one of the league’s most reliable middle blockers, finishing the season with 126 blocks — including 17 solo stops — and averaging 1.34 blocks per set. Burke recorded a season-high 14 kills against Abilene Christian, earning WAC Payer of the Week for her season-high performance, along with nine blocks in a dominant defensive performance.

Frank, a junior outside hitter from Aledo, Texas, earned Second Team All-WAC honors after a strong offensive season to date. As a primary opposite attacker, Frank totaled 228 kills while averaging 2.43 kills per set and hitting .287, emerging as one of the conference’s most efficient and reliable point-scorers. Frank also added 56 blocks, contributing valuable net defense. Frank posted a season-high 18 kills against California Baptist, showcasing her ability to take over matches offensively.
