(January 30, 1963 – February 5, 2026)
Sheri Lyn Wolfe, 63, of Hico, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on January 30, 1963, in Hico, Texas, and spent her life deeply rooted in the community she loved.
Sheri was a mentor, a guide, and a safe place for so many. She was a beloved coworker to her fellow teachers, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word. Students remembered her long after graduation, not just for what she taught, but for how she made them feel: seen, supported, and capable.
Sheri’s life was inseparable from her horses and the rodeo, a passion she carried from her earliest days to her last. She could ride anything and collected scars along the way, proof of a life met head-on without complaint. Tender and patient with all animals, she was the one neighbors trusted to help any critter in need. She found her greatest happiness outdoors, in the saddle, and being surrounded by the people and creatures she loved.
Sheri is survived by her children: Shyanne Wolfe (partner Colton Robbins), Scott Wolfe, and Tiffany Wolfe (spouse Dixie Minnick); her grandson Leland Wolfe; her sister Stacie Matthews (spouse Kenneth Matthews); brother Bodie Parks; sister Donna Parks Hunter;mother-in-law Bonnie Wolfe; sister-in-law Pam Wolfe; brother-in-law Randal Redder; and many beloved nieces and nephews: Emily (partner Aric), Clayton (spouse Cheyanne), Ila, Waylon Jr. (spouse Jennifer), Chelsea, Lori, Syndel, Jessica, Melonie, Chad, Anna, Alan, Andrew, and Alyssa; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and her devoted emotional support dog Nala.
She was preceded in death by her father Don Parks, her mother Missie Parks, and her husband Grady Wolfe.
Sheri’s legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the animals she loved, and the family she held close. Coach Wolfe will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
