(May 14, 1960 – March 9, 2026)

Andrea Layne Marcom Moore met Jesus face-to-face March 9, 2026, after a fierce battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Born May 14, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents William T Marcom and Edna Earle (Riggsbee) Marcom, she was the second youngest of 4 siblings, and the only girl. Brother Jeffrey was the youngest, Dan and Bill, Jr. are the older two of the group. Growing up in Fort Worth, she graduated in 1978 from Western Hills High School and took classes at Tarrant County Junior College.

Andrea’s dad called her Sugar Frog. Her name was pronounced as Aunt Dudra by her toddler nephew and was subsequently called Dudra by her brother Bill and family. She was also affectionately known as Andy, Mom, Mamma, and Mummy Dust.

She loved God’s creation: the desert, the mountains, every sunrise and every sunset. She loved to say that tree branches dancing in the wind were the trees waving their arms praising God. But more than creation itself, Andrea loved Jesus even more.

Andrea was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her three children: Jessica Whiteley and husband Rocky of Hico, Texas; Jake Moore and partner Shelly Harmon of Fort Worth, Texas; and Joe Moore and wife Jennifer of Strang, Oklahoma. Two grandsons, Lincoln Whiteley and Aden Wagner, also survive as well as Andrea’s three brothers: Bill, Dan, and Jeffrey Marcom, along with eight nieces and three nephews.

Andrea’s legacy is a testimony of her faith and love of Jesus. She may not have a “line of saints with her last name,” but she chose whom she would serve, and she and her house will serve the Lord.

Graveside service 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16 at Duffau Cemetery, with funeral procession leaving at 9:45 a.m. from Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico, Texas to the cemetery.
