Troy Leander Coan of DeLeon, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2026, in Comanche, Texas. Born on June 2, 1940, in Rotan, Texas, to Inez and Benjamin Coan, Troy was known for his love of fishing with his great friend Bill, golfing nearly every weekend, his wonderful collection of knives, restoring tractor projects, and raising goats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 66 years, Twyla June Coan, and his siblings, Norman Coan, Arvey Coan, Benny Coan, and Lois Coan. He is survived by his brother, Donald Coan, his children, Gene and Tammy Coan, Terry Pendleton, and Tim Coan, as well as his grandchildren, Ashley and Bryan Fulsom, Amanda and Chris Baker, Stephanie and Dylan White, and one great-grandchild, Bryce Fulsom.
The family will be accepting visitors on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Harrell Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Proctor Cemetery at 11:00am.
