(November 10, 1988 — March 29, 2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kaelan Brieanne Escalante on March 29th, 2026. Brie was born on November 10th, 1988, to Phillip Egdorf. She courageously fought against cancer for many years and has the ultimate victory as she is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brie and her husband, Matthew, were married on May 1st, 2012. Brie was the most amazing wife a husband could ever ask for. She always knew how to cheer up Matthew, and even in her final days, made gestures of love to make the day easier. Brie loved being a mom to Haegan and Aubrie. She loved them dearly, and in her last moments, would still perk up with enjoyment when she heard their voice. Brie was an amazing sister to Justin, Shaelyn, and Blake. Brie loved them dearly and would do anything for them. As a daughter to Phillip, Brie was definitely a daddy’s girl. He was her rock through hard times, and she loved him very much. Lastly, as a friend, Brie was the life of a party. She loved her friends dearly and enjoyed every minute she spent with them.

Brie is preceded in death by her grandfather, Phillip Egdorf. Brie is survived by her husband, Matthew, and their two children, Haegan and Aubrie; parents Phillip and Jennifer Egdorf of Granbury; sister Shaelyn Billings and her husband Ross of Stephenville; brothers Justin Egdorf and his wife Rebecca of Estes Park, Colorado, and Blake Cason of Granbury. She also leaves behind her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews (Aunt Breezy as they called her) and friends. She is loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all those she had an impact on.
